About The Position

The Outside Sales Representative at Spectrum is responsible for connecting people and communities by offering top-tier telecommunication services through door-to-door solicitation. This role focuses on acquiring new residential customers, conducting needs analyses, and presenting tailored sales proposals. The position emphasizes a strong customer experience and achieving sales quotas in various telecommunication products.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Engaging interpersonal skills and ability to listen and formulate needs-based sales strategies.
  • Strong personal drive to sell to prospective customers.
  • Ability to travel to assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and communication devices.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Success in a previous sales position, prospecting, or cold calling.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services, especially data networking fundamentals.
  • 2+ years of sales or relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Actively supports efforts to enhance the customer experience.
  • Acquires new residential customers through door-to-door contact.
  • Conducts proactive consultative needs analysis with prospective customers.
  • Develops and presents sales presentations/proposals that meet customer needs.
  • Completes necessary paperwork to support sales activities, including entering sales orders and reporting on sales.
  • Participates in sales meetings and training programs to support team goals.
  • Achieves monthly sales quotas in high-speed data, mobile, landline phone, and video sales.
  • Completes administrative tasks related to products sold according to department practices.
  • Informs manager of competitors' activities and changing pricing programs.
  • Attends and completes training programs as required.
