About The Position

The outside sales representative is responsible for selling Kubota tractors, RTV utility vehicles, zero turns and related implements, while also promoting and selling the dealerships additional powersports and outdoor power equipment brands to customers within an assigned territory. This role focuses on relationship-based selling, on-site demonstrations, and long-term customer support for agricultural, rural lifestyle, commercial, and municipal customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in the powersports or outdoor power equipment industry.
  • Basic computer skills, including typing, data entry, and internet-based applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and DOT physical
  • Strong customer service and communication skills (in-person and phone).
  • Flexibility with scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional extended hours.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending, kneeling, and reaching may be required when loading/unloading, assisting with equipment or displays.
  • Must be able to operate and demonstrate equipment safely.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with CRM software preferred; CDK or Lightspeed experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a sales territory focused on dealership brands.
  • Prospect and grow outside sales with new customers.
  • Conduct on-site equipment demonstrations and walkarounds.
  • Prepare quotes and present financing options.
  • Track leads and manages customer relationships using CRM tools.
  • Coordinate with parts and service departments within the dealerships to maintain customer satisfaction at all levels.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tractors, powersports vehicles and lawn equipment, including features, benefits, specifications, rebates, and financing options.
  • Attend fairs, tradeshows, open houses and other events representing the company.
  • Proactively seek out bid opportunities.
  • Explain product warranty terms, extended service contracts, and maintenance plans.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and educational classes as required.
  • Support marketing and promotional events as needed.
  • Ensure accurate product pricing and signage.
  • Follow up with customers after the sale to build long-term relationships.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Fill in on sales floor at dealerships as needed.
  • Adhere to company processes, policies, and procedures.
