About The Position

OES Equipment, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is a fast-paced supply and rental equipment company in the construction industry looking for a motivated Outside Sales Representative to increase sales and act as the initial point of contact for the greater Raleigh/Durham area. We are seeking a detail oriented, team player with the ability to develop lasting relationships with current and future customers, provide excellent and informed customer service, and drive and increase sales by acting as the subject matter expert for our product lines and services. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

Requirements

  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong work ethic with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently.
  • Proven success in a sales and customer focused environment.
  • 2-3 years of construction supply and rental equipment industry knowledge preferred.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Travel within assigned region.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RentalMan (Wynne Software) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a working knowledge of construction site needs, supplies and equipment inventory, and basic accounting principles.
  • Maintaining a complete understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Providing and recommending solutions to the customer.
  • Procurement and tracking of all supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with outside vendors and customers.
  • Processing and fulfilling customer orders.
  • Data entry and other miscellaneous office management tasks as needed.
