About The Position

The Outside Sales Representative solicits parts and services business from accounts through personal and phone contacts. The representative will present a professional image with a high level of customer service focus. To be successful it’s essential to focus on development of new accounts, recover lost accounts, and manage established accounts.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
  • Appropriate manufacturer training.
  • Three years’ sales experience, including new account development, prospecting, and cold calling; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years sales experience, including new account development, prospecting, and cold calling; or the equivalent of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in the heavy duty or automotive aftermarket is highly valued, along with a positive attitude and a passion for customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Tidewater Fleet Supply/TNT Parts Inc. Technology products including Webshop.
  • Prospect for new accounts/referrals which include compiling and updating a list of prospective clients to provide leads for additional business.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive account specific growth strategies.
  • Service existing accounts and communicate with clients on a regular basis. Discuss use and features of various parts.
  • Manage Accounts in the CRM system.
  • Update account profiles in CRM annually for contact info and sales potential.
  • Pre Call Plan each Sales call using CRM “Sales IQ” guided action.
  • Follow up on orders to ensure that customers are served promptly.
  • Coordinate parts and with the appropriate personnel. Advise counter person on delivery instructions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
