Requirements

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in door-to-door or direct sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Strong self-motivation and a results-driven attitude with a focus on meeting sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude with resilience to handle rejection.
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable personal transportation required.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of energy efficiency and home energy upgrades preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Canvass residential neighborhoods in the SoCal Gas and Southern California Edison service territory to engage homeowners.
  • Educate homeowners about the benefits of energy efficiency and the specific no-cost upgrade programs available through SCE and SoCalGas.
  • Explain available upgrades such as smart thermostats, ECM fan motors, HVAC tune-ups, and duct sealing, emphasizing that they are provided at no cost.
  • Address homeowner questions and concerns about the programs.
  • Generate leads by identifying eligible and interested homeowners.
  • Qualify potential customers by verifying their utility provider (SCE or SoCalGas) and program eligibility.
  • Schedule appointments for home energy assessments or direct installation of upgrades.
  • Meet and exceed targets for qualified leads and program enrollments.
  • Maintain professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
