About The Position

This position is responsible for increasing sales and profit margin by growing business with current accounts and generating new strategic business while working closely with Inside Sales and Management. Responsibilities also include making business-to-business sales calls from both the office and on the road, maintaining & growing the existing customer base, and researching & identifying leads on an ongoing basis and converting these leads into customers. The role involves executing and delivering upon a defined set of Best Business Practices for the Outside Sales role, including Prospecting, Planning, Prioritizing, Territory Management, Sales, Developing Leads and Opportunities, as well as using Curbell Selling System, CRM and Sales Tools. The representative will create, implement, and execute a sales plan to increase market share in a particular territory, develop strong relationships with strategic customers, develop proposals, contracts, and agreements to secure long term business, introduce new materials and educate customers on their use and applications. Additionally, the role involves developing new customers through prospecting and lead follow-up, selling value-added services and solutions, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Ability to proactively manage and grow a pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Territory management skills
  • The ability to create and edit written materials
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in SAP, or similar system
  • Ability to solve a range of straightforward problems and determine possible solutions using standard procedures
  • Understands business-to-business selling approach
  • Knowledge of sales promotion techniques
  • Valid Drivers License

  • Introduce new material to customers and educate them on use and applications
  • Develop new customers by prospecting and lead follow-up
  • Sell value-added services and solutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
