About The Position

The Outside Sales Representative (OSR) is responsible for achieving long-term sales growth, margins, and profitability in their assigned territory/defined customer base. Success is achieved by technical sales support, sales lead generation, and general business development for Tampa, Florida, and the surrounding areas. This individual would focus on Power, Water, and Waste in the Florida Market. The requirement is a minimum of 5 years Pump and or Mechanical seal sales experience in these markets. Southeast Pump operates as a vital subsidiary within Flow Control Group (FCG), a prominent holdings company that is a leading solutions provider focused on technically oriented products and services for flow control, fluid handling and process, industrial automation, and life sciences with locations throughout North America. As a critical intermediary between over 3,000 suppliers and 15,000 customers, over 90 brand companies, and close to 1,700 employees, FCG’s distribution and technical expertise serve an essential function in the movement of mission-critical components to a diverse array of end markets and applications.

Requirements

  • Previous performance must have demonstrated superior Conceptual, Technical, People, and Organizational Skills plus a Strong Work Ethic.
  • Must have or be capable of developing strong technical knowledge of company products.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at management and hourly maintenance levels.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process flow.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with rapidly changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Sales lead generation
  • Product and application customer training
  • Territory and industry-specific strategic planning and execution
  • Customer relations maintenance and development
  • Technical applications review
  • Quotations preparation and assistance with preparation
  • Cost analysis, profit maximization
  • Vendor relations, cooperative vendor sales calls, and training as needed and available
  • Monthly reporting, directly to the General Manager
  • Achieve the sales and GM budget for a defined group of user customers.
  • Drive regional, corporate account business strategies and new product introductions.
  • Conduct in-plant and seminars to educate users in the use of our products and services.
  • Represents the organization in providing solutions associated with the sale and marketing of our products.
