Position Summary Facilitate, order and delivery interaction between food service customers and Halperns’ Steak & Seafood. Seeks growth opportunities in existing customers and brings new customers to Halperns’ Steak & Seafood. Represent Halperns’ products and services and manages customer business relationship. There's a seat at our table for you… Annual Rate: $52K + Commission Territory : Orando, FL

Requirements

  • This position requires customer focus with comprehensive communication skills and the ability to express self verbally.
  • Must be a strategic thinker, inquisitive, innovative, and creative in order to build relationships, network, link resources and apply business practices.
  • Works effectively in teams and display integrity and honesty to participate and contribute to branch team efforts.
  • Must be goal driven, have good organizational and administration skills in order to self manage and develop discipline and be flexible and coachable.
  • Must be able to meet and exceed sales performance goals and execute good time and territory management.
  • Ability to adapt to frequent changes in program function or new applications
  • High School / Equivalent
  • Must maintain a valid state driver’s license and safe driving record per GFS policy.
  • Up to three years previous sales or business experience.
  • Prefer experience in food business practices and food preparation, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • In lieu of the specified education and experience requirements, a proven capability to perform the essential functions of the job, as demonstrated by an equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant work experience may be considered.
  • You are required to provide your most recent employment experience for your application to be considered complete.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree (Business, Sales or Marketing )
  • Culinary certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer orders
  • Acquire new customers
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Manage customer accounts receivables within guidelines
  • Effective execution of the Selling Cycle
  • Develop negotiations strategy
  • Develop pricing strategies
  • Leverage resources to increase growth
  • Deliver effective presentations
  • Conduct customer business reviews
  • Maintain knowledge of industry through industry magazines and local culinary organizations
  • Demonstrate and deliver understanding of Foodservice Industry and operations
  • Understand areas of customer focus, including Sales Building, Staffing, Profitability, and Compliance
  • Demonstrate effective sampling
  • Explain key features and benefits of Halperns’ products
  • Understand and leverage advantages of Halperns’ branded products
  • Explain Value Added concepts to customers
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
