About The Position

Responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory. This role requires a proactive and results-driven individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate has experience calling on electrical contractors as either a distributor or manufacturing rep. May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong Computer proficiency
  • Proficiency using e-mail, the internet, Microsoft Office, and other computer tools
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proven experience in outside sales or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory up to 1-2 days a week.
  • High school or equivalent GED certification.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation:
  • Identify and research potential clients and leads within the assigned territory.
  • Cold call, email, and use other methods to initiate contact with potential customers.
  • Attend industry events and networking functions to build a strong pipeline of prospects.
  • Sales Presentations:
  • Conduct product/service presentations to potential clients, showcasing the features and benefits.
  • Customize sales pitches to address the specific needs of each client.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information about the company's products or services.
  • Relationship Building:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients and address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Regularly check in with clients to understand their evolving needs and preferences.
  • Sales Negotiation and Closing:
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements.
  • Work to overcome objections and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Prepare and present proposals and contracts to clients.
  • Market Intelligence:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
  • Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on customer preferences and market demands.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and closed deals.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and submit them to the regional sales manager.
