LOCATION: Greater Tallahassee Metropolitan Area We're also looking to build residential and commercial customer relationships in Quincy, Monticello, Thomasville GA, Valdosta GA, Perry, Madison, and Live Oak. Summary: Vector Security is seeking an Outside Sales Representative responsible for developing new residential and commercial customers in the Tallahassee Metro Area and beyond! In this field-based role, you will meet with homeowners and business owners to assess their needs and recommend security and smart home technology solutions including alarm systems, video surveillance, and home automation. Successful candidates are motivated self-starters who enjoy building relationships in their community, managing their own territory, and developing a strong sales pipeline. By delivering alarm security solutions that protect people, property, and operations, representatives play a key role in helping customers feel secure while growing their own income through performance-based earnings. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated success in previous sales or performance-driven positions , including meeting or exceeding established goals or targets
  • Experience in outside sales, marketing, door-to-door sales, retail sales, or other customer-facing roles strongly preferred
  • Ability to proactively prospect and generate residential sales opportunities through networking, referrals, relationship building, and in-person engagement with homeowners and business owners
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to initiate conversations, build trust quickly, and clearly demonstrate the value of Vector’s products
  • Valid driver’s license , reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record required

  • Candidates from a variety of outside sales environments often excel in this role, including security systems, alarm or access control sales, HVAC or building systems sales, telecom or cable sales, solar, pest control, or furniture sales, and other territory-based consultative sales roles.

Responsibilities

  • Sell Vector Security’s residential and commercial security and smart home solutions while achieving sales orders, recurring monthly revenue (RMR), and unit targets
  • Generate new sales opportunities through prospecting activities such as door-to-door outreach, community involvement, networking, and engaging existing customers for referrals
  • Manage and work assigned leads while documenting activity and maintaining a strong closing ratio
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge through ongoing training and certifications and educate homeowners on Vector Security products and services
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement
  • Identify opportunities to grow the customer base and develop new market segments within the territory
