About The Position

Allen & Allen Co. is looking for a driven, relationship-focused sales professional to help grow our presence in the San Antonio construction market. This role is ideal for someone who understands the building materials industry, enjoys working directly with builders and contractors, and wants to play a meaningful role in growing accounts and market share. You’ll be responsible for developing new business, strengthening existing relationships, and delivering solutions that help our customers succeed—while representing a company known for integrity, teamwork, and long-term partnerships.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within the building materials or construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, including lumber, millwork, windows and doors, decorative hardware, and the construction process
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Comfortable using technology and sales tools (Microsoft Teams, Excel, D365 preferred)
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to travel locally with a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Grow sales by identifying and pursuing new and existing opportunities within the construction and building materials market
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with custom home builders, contractors, developers, architects, and other decision-makers
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer projects, timelines, and challenges and recommending the right solutions
  • Develop and present sales proposals, pricing, and contracts aligned with customer needs and company goals
  • Negotiate pricing and terms while maintaining healthy margins
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and performance metrics within our D365 ERP system
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
  • Resolve customer issues professionally and collaborate internally to ensure a great customer experience
