About The Position

Billy Heroman's Flowerland Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Outside Sales Representative/Design Consultant to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. This full-time position is ideal for a sales-oriented professional who is eager to contribute to the growth of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with both new and existing customers, focusing on our diverse range of plant scaping, floral, and holiday decorating products and services. In this role, you will utilize various systems, such as Service Manager, to maintain a comprehensive database of leads and appointments. Your primary responsibilities will include prospecting through cold calls and warm leads, as well as networking through organizations like BNI, IFMA, and SME. You will set sales goals and develop a clear understanding of the necessary prospecting and proposal activities to achieve them. Responding to sales opportunities generated from our outbound marketing and advertising efforts will also be a key part of your role. You will be tasked with developing, qualifying, and pursuing all sales leads while maintaining meticulous records to track the sales process. This includes creating and delivering tailored product/service recommendations, presentations, sales bids, and proposals. Familiarity with tropical plants and their growth requirements, as well as basic design principles, will be beneficial as you assist with the oversight of installations for major or complex jobs. Collaboration with other departments, particularly the horticulture services department, will be essential to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise. You will also be expected to document work orders and service records accurately, capitalize on cross-sell and add-on opportunities with existing clients, and be flexible with your schedule to meet client demands and deadlines.
