Braen Supply, a leading landscape, masonry, and hardware building supplier in the greater tri-state area, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This full-time position is based at our locations in Haledon, Randolph, and Wanaque, NJ. The Outside Sales Representative will play a crucial role in our organization by functioning as a leader, enforcing standard operating procedures, acquiring new business, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining contact with existing customers through regular visits to project locations and customer offices, all while upholding the company's core values of Service, Integrity, and Respect. In this role, the Outside Sales Representative will be expected to resolve and mediate escalated customer issues, maintain existing customer relations, prepare quotes, deliver samples, and resolve job site issues. The representative will also make follow-up calls to existing and potential customers, calculate and submit adjusted pricing for approval, and collaborate with both the sales team and inside sales representatives. Attendance at trade shows and staying updated on product and service information is also part of the job. The representative will assist with all sales/customer service activities, including counter sales, in-person, and phone sales, while maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers at all times. Additional responsibilities include conducting home, job site, and office visits, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures, managing the growth and shrinkage of assigned accounts, procuring new business jobs and accounts, and maintaining mobile showroom display boards. The Outside Sales Representative will also work with the Accounts Receivable department to clarify customer billing issues and handle sales-related administration tasks using Salesforce to manage the customer experience effectively. This position requires strong management and leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a team-oriented mindset.
