About The Position

The Outside Sales Representative at Martin Sprocket & Gear is responsible for promoting and selling mechanical power transmission components and bulk material handling equipment to distributor accounts. This role involves extensive travel, conducting product training, and providing technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with the industrial marketplace and key industry players in the territory.
  • Knowledge of Power Transmission components and/or Bulk Material Handling equipment.
  • Proven success in outside sales with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience conducting product training and sales presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business and create long-lasting relationships.
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal-driven with strong self-management skills.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Proficient with computers and skilled in organization and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Power Transmission components and Bulk Material Handling equipment to new and existing distributor accounts.
  • Conduct product training and sales presentations to educate customers on product features and maintenance.
  • Develop new business opportunities by building relationships with new customers and maintaining partnerships with current clients.
  • Provide technical and non-technical guidance to clients on operating and maintaining parts and equipment.
