Forge & Build is hiring an Outside Sales Representative at our rental facility in Elwood, KS, and we're looking for someone who's ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Strong effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze and develop strategy based on blueprints.
  • Maintains monthly sales quotas and customer experience ratings.
  • Consistently provides excellent experience to current and potential customers.
  • Strong ability to present product lines to all sizes of groups and effectively close sales.
  • Strong self-initiative with cold calling new prospects consistently.
  • Fosters a strong collaboration and partnership with the General Manager within the area of sales initiatives and responsibilities.
  • Leads by example and inspires others to perform to their highest potential, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
  • Drives and executes performance through sales growth within area of responsibility.
  • Consistently monitors sales metrics including, but not limited to KPI's, new account production; rate achievement; aged receivables, and customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively, clearly, and accurately communicates in a fast-paced environment of a growing company and stays continuously educated on the latest EquipmentShare products and services.
  • Strong self-initiative without constant follow up.
  • Able to thrive in both collaborative and autonomous environments.
  • Self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to review, maintain and execute on metrics including KPIs and reports.
  • Must be able to physically visit locations including job sites or customer businesses within an assigned territory.
  • Adaptable and agile to quickly learn new and changing technologies and processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 3+ years of building material and lumber sales experience, preferably in outside sales.
  • Previous sales experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.
  • General knowledge of the construction industry is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective organizational, time management, detail orientation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective and consistent communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, thrive and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to understand how to drive and meet monthly sales objections.
  • Inherent desire to learn and develop on an individual basis.
  • Strive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Single point contact that will present and sell Forge + Build products and services.
  • Understand and maintain knowledge of all product services.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with contractors, builders, developers, homeowners, etc.
  • Responsible for all segments of the POS systems related to selling materials.
  • Facilitates and fosters store partnership and collaboration within internal clients.
  • Responsible for effective and timely communication information to store/internal client.
  • Develops and provides action items to improve issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Produces accurate and timely quotes through all product lines and follow up with customers.
  • Continuously builds and grows customer clients through developing and maintaining great customer experience.
  • Responsible for collecting payment for invoices after sale from customers within reasonable expected payment terms.
  • Responsible for continuously maintaining and understanding changes within the product lines to ensure product capabilities and accuracy of information.
  • Responsible for constantly reviewing and analyzing data metrics to help develop and grow the business.
