About The Position

The Compact Sales Specialist is responsible for representing products focused on Compact Construction Equipment; Track Loaders, Mini Excavators, and Telehandlers in a defined geographic territory with the ultimate goal of sales. In addition, this position will have a focus on renting Compact Construction Equipment as well as renting some size classes of Main Line Construction Equipment. Some target customers include general contractors, utility contractors, concrete contractors, landscape/hardscape contractors, and earthmoving contractors.

Requirements

• A minimum of three years of sales or industry experience is required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
• General knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
• Knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales).
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent products focused on Compact Construction Equipment in a defined geographic territory.
• Focus on renting Compact Construction Equipment and some size classes of Main Line Construction Equipment.
• Target customers include general contractors, utility contractors, concrete contractors, landscape/hardscape contractors, and earthmoving contractors.
• Make cold calls and nurture existing relationships with customers.
• Keep updated and thorough records of calls, leads, and sales forecasts within CRM software.
• Develop and manage a defined territory.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
• Demonstrate a proactive sales approach with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
