About the position
L&W Supply is seeking a service-oriented Outside Sales Representative to enhance customer relationships and drive sales growth. This role involves managing the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, while providing exceptional service and support to clients in the building materials industry.
Responsibilities
- Cultivating and managing customer relationships
- Conducting all steps of the sales process with customers
- Creating and pursuing customer leads
- Developing a sales plan and targeting customers accordingly
- Identifying and executing on opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell
- Making cold calls to prospective customers
- Following sales leads and scheduling appointments with prospective customers
- Following up with customers and providing solutions for service concerns
- Providing training to customers and their teams on various product lines and services
- Directing the creation of quotes for customers
- Soliciting feedback from customers on products and services for follow-up action
- Gathering competitive market and pricing information
- Connecting with customers to ensure past due bills are paid and collecting payments when necessary
Requirements
- College degree in Business, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Specific industry knowledge, including familiarity with product lines and the overall building contractor process
- Proven experience in business development and strong sales skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass MVR check and meet vehicle insurance requirements
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills
