Outside Sales Job Summary: The Outside Sales Representative will sell services offered by the company to current and new clientele.

Requirements

  • Industrial and/or manufacturing sales experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business, or related technical field OR
  • A minimum of five (5) years of related sales experience.
  • Domestic travel up to 50% of the time, as business needs require.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify and develop new sales opportunities.
  • Communicate with customers to identify and understand their service needs; recommends appropriate services to meet those needs.
  • Engage with customers through in-person visits and/or virtual communication, with travel as required to drive sales results and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves post-sale issues as they arise.
  • Maintains communication with current and former customers to promote new services and enhancements.
  • Maintains accurate and timely records of sales activities, including calls, orders, closed sales, lost business, and customer or vendor concerns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
