Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 3 years or more in industrial or adjacent segment outside sales or engineering/maintenance/process control experience in a process plant is preferred.
  • Strong technical background in process control, instrumentation, electrical, and automated service solutions.
  • Excellent communication (presentation, verbal, and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and making presentations.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and deal with a variety of Customer roles, including senior positions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and willing to learn CRM and SharePoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with outage planning processes.
  • Knowledge of Emerson Process Management organization and offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on services value the Customer needs and build strong, mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Understand and communicate Customer needs and business strategies to ensure leadership in delivering creative service solutions.
  • Identify and track all maintenance outages and service spending events.
  • Support Customers' needs from day-to-day support required from customer service, inside sales, and field service technicians.
  • Maintain a high degree of industry knowledge and awareness, including trends and technology advancements.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain business relationships with customers' decision-makers.
  • Understand the customer's business, including products, processes, and industry dynamics.
  • Identify the customer's Critical Success Factors (CSF) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to support account plans and sales strategies.
  • Understand the Company's product and service offerings and maintain knowledge of industry benchmarks.
  • Deliver bookings growth across the breadth of the service business and coordinate work with account managers.
  • Identify recurring problems and complete thorough diagnosis to understand requirements and potential solutions.
  • Lead the identification and qualification of all maintenance outages and service opportunities.
  • Develop and implement an account service strategy that maximizes profit generation for the Company.
