About The Position

The Outside Sales Healthcare Representative is a qualified healthcare professional that performs public relations activities and develops working relationships with physicians and referral sources. This role involves developing relationships with area physicians, case managers, and other interested parties for the benefit of THERAPY 2000 and its patients, working in conjunction with the Regional Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing. The position requires responsibility for both Laredo and Corpus areas during the week.

Requirements

  • Excellent administrative communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to supervise other office personnel.
  • Working knowledge of standard (MS Windows) software applications required.
  • Experience in patient record documentation and medical office and home health service processes required.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to physically and legally operate a vehicle.
  • Experience with creating marketing materials.
  • Knowledge of how to increase agency branding in the community.

Nice To Haves

  • a licensed healthcare professional with minimum of bachelor degree.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid / Medicare services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop good working relationships with area physicians and other referral sources.
  • Make office visits to area physicians and referral sources as needed to enhance this relationship and facilitate smooth processes for the benefit of the company and its’ patients.
  • Enhance and develop public relations profile.
  • Develop a “physician profile”, which will list relevant information about physicians who order care for our patients.
  • Communicate as needed with appropriate physician and referral source office staff to enhance overall communication with these offices to assist the Referral Coordinator and intake process.
  • Communicate as needed with physicians or their designated clinical staff to enhance clinical communication between these physicians and our clinical staff.
  • Adheres to all rules, regulations, code of ethics, guidelines and codes in federal, state and local laws which are concerned with the delivery of home based therapy services.
