About The Position

Cummins-Wagner Company, Inc. aims to remain the premier manufacturer's representative and distributor of mechanical equipment and machinery within our trading area. We serve the industrial, process, heating, and cooling markets. The Outside Sales Engineer will service existing customers and develop new customers within the Baltimore territory. This position requires a motivated professional with experience selling rotating equipment.

Requirements

• Experience selling rotating equipment.
• Must be able to pass background and reference checks, as well as a drug test.
• Must maintain an active driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Former maintenance mechanic or millwright from either the HVAC, plant maintenance and repair, or mechanical contractor fields.
• Product sales experience from the HVAC plant maintenance and repair or mechanical contractor fields.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for service estimates and survey job sites.
• Gather information for developing proposals, including understanding the nature of the request and recording equipment tag data.
• Scope out logistical requirements and develop scope of work, written proposals, and cost estimates.
• Build and maintain relationships with key service customers throughout the Baltimore Metropolitan Area targeting industrial, power, commercial, institutions (hospitals and universities), municipal water, and wastewater markets.
• Assist coordinators with the preparation of accurate and professional proposals for a variety of technical services including troubleshooting, evaluation, and repair.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
