Airgas is Hiring for an Outside Sales Account Manager for Red D Arc in Tulsa, OK. It's ideal for the selected candidate to live in Tulsa, but can reside anywhere in Oklahoma. Under the direction of the District Manager, the incumbent will develop rentals and sales of welding equipment, power generation and weld automation in the assigned region by following sales leads, making presentations, preparing quotations, maintaining all required literature and providing customer follow-ups. The incumbent will also assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Some overnight travel is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Sales experience in either an industrial equipment rental or a welding equipment sales or rental environment.
  • Working knowledge of positioning equipment, welding applications and equipment.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to develop and execute market/business plans.
  • Excellent technical knowledge as well as strong interpersonal and management skills.
  • Proven ability to develop new accounts and new business opportunities.
  • High-quality presentation and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to set goals and motivate self and others to achieve annual sales objectives.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with little supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Develop rentals and sales of welding equipment, power generation and weld automation in the assigned region.
  • Follow sales leads, make presentations, prepare quotations, maintain all required literature and provide customer follow-ups.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc’s health and safety guidelines.
  • Develop and increase the end user customer base by effective communication, assessment of needs and recommendations of solutions.
  • Perform onsite equipment demonstrations.
  • Make application recommendations of welding and positioning equipment.
  • Develop long-term supply relationships through contracts and/or agreements.
  • Work as part of a team in providing customer solutions.
  • Meet or exceed rental and sales goals specified in the market area.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings and Trade Shows to promote products.
  • Compile lists of prospective customers for sales leads based on information from newspapers, business directories, trade journals and/or other sources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely submission of sales call reports and expenses.
  • Provide customer follow-up.
  • Provide back-up coverage at the branch location during vacations and other employee shortages.
