About The Position

Master Halco Fence and Deck Supply, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fence, deck, outdoor structures, and perimeter security products is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Associate! In this role, you will be responsible for driving the sales performance of the company’s fencing, perimter secruity, and other product lines within a an assigned territory. You will be making face to face sales calls with existing and potential customers, building long lasting business relationships, and finding new opportunities for growth. While the majority of the time will be spent in the field meeting with existing and potential customer, this position will require one or two days a week working from the branch office making outbound calls, creating quotes and orders, assisting customers, and completing day-to-day administrative tasks. This is a very exciting time to join our company. Requirements

  • Associate degree (two-year college or technical school): or Work Equivalent
  • 2 plus years of experience in sales
  • Knowledge of internet software; sales/presentations software; spreadsheet software and Word processing software
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Successful track record of selling into the building materials industry and home center/hardware stores a preferred
  • Fence or building materials industry experience a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead sales activities to maximize sales growth, margin targets, market share, and overall company objectives
  • Strong sales leader with solid business acumen
  • Develop strong business relationships through face to face sales calls and relationship building activities
  • Cultivate customers in this new area of business
  • Determine what motivates each customer to purchase and respond accordingly
  • Implement and execute sales growth strategies that are consistent with the company’s strategic plans
  • Develop a culture of creativity in approach to business development
  • Work with Branch Manager to develop and execute sales growth strategies
