General Statement of Responsibilities Performs general production duties in a J.I.T. manufacturing system, e.g. – Employee Involvement, Total Quality, Continuous Improvement, Housekeeping, Elimination of Waste, Communication, Coordination, etc. that meets production and customer requirements. Qualification Requirements The position is responsible for managing numerous supply-chains where external production activities are required. The role required the ability to successfully multi-task and prioritize, as well as maintaining working relationships with internal and external customers. As the main point of contact, OPC’s are responsible for communicating any supply chain disruptions or concerns and participates in contingency planning if needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Mobile equipment experience required.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to use one’s own initiative in organizing and planning activities.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain mobile equipment certification.
  • Computer (PC) literacy.

Nice To Haves

  • ERP (Plex) experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes and coordinates movement of material in a cost effective and timely manner to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Responsible for initializing shippers and moving parts in or out in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates and schedules trucks for pick-ups and deliveries
  • Responsible for all receiving and subcontracting functions
  • Provides labels for each shipment to outside sorters/ subcontractors, etc.
  • Prioritize work through subcontractors to meet company’s schedule and customer requirements.
  • Follow up with suppliers for on time delivery and for all other mattes including shipping discrepancies.
  • Schedule expedited carriers if needed to move “hot material” through subcontractors.
  • Receives purchased components and MRO.
  • Labels materials and moving material to designated locations.
  • Responsible for reconciling inventory discrepancies between subcontractors and the organization
  • Maintain accuracy for movement of parts between sub-contractors in Plex system. Ensure the Plex system is updated for work orders and shop tickets.
  • Ensures full compliance with all MSD and government Environmental Health & Safety standards, policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Implement lean manufacturing concepts including continuous improvement and 5S.
  • Maintain and follow all TS-16949 and IATF procedures that are applicable to this position.
  • Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established environmental, health, safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Ensure continual improvement in all areas of operation through employee development and involvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and county environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Schedule scrap and waste oil removal
  • Assist in organization of warehouse, including inventory and cycle counts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
