About The Position

OUTSIDE PARTS SALES REPRESENTATIVE Job Functions: • Solicits territorial parts sales business through personal contact and telephone contact. • Proactively advise customer on questions about products, prices, availability and product features. • Locate, obtain and or order part(s) for each sale on accordance with company procedure. • Services customer accounts. Investigates problems, quotes prices and delivery, etc. • Assists Parts Manager in establishing pricing so as to maximize gross profit while still maintaining completive position. • Maintains confidentiality of pricing structure. • Sign up new accounts and grow sales within new accounts. • Be vigilant to new customer opportunities within assigned sales territory. • In conjunction with Parts Manager, continually evaluates customers and their needs so as to determine the best combination of personal and telephone contacts that will maximize sales potential(s). • Provides territorial feedback regarding market trends, completive activity, public attitudes, etc. • Other activities as appropriate. • Referring to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of trailers being serviced. • Provide the same high level of service to the other departments as is given to other customers. • Keep current on new products and product updates. • Perform other duties as assigned by management. • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor. Job Requirements: • Assist with AR Collections when needed. • Excellent communication skills, must dress in professional appearance. • Good computer, data entry, and Microsoft Word/ Excel skills. • Excellent organizational and filing skills. • Ability to work on multiple tasks with varying deadlines. Physical Demands: • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs to be able to pull and move heavy duty parts. Throughout the day will be walking, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, and lifting. • Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including but not limited to dirt, dust, vibration, minimal chemical hazards, and noise and temperature variances.
