About The Position

The Outside Parts Salesperson at BusWest is responsible for generating business within a designated territory by developing and maintaining customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. This role involves significant fieldwork, with over 50% of the time spent outside the office actively selling parts and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Five (5) or more years of experience in service or parts departments of the trucking industry.
• Technician experience.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Leadership & Teamwork qualities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of BusWest products and pricing.
• Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business.
• Visit assigned customers and prospect for new ones.
• Communicate parts orders to inside parts salespeople.
• Meet or exceed new business sales goals.
• Conduct prospecting activities to secure initial and follow-up appointments with decision-makers.
• Schedule and document activities.
• Prepare and draft sales documentation and other necessary paperwork to complete sales promptly.
• Stay aware of market behavior and competitive trends, and respond accordingly.
• Regularly meet with the sales supervisor to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers.
• Advise parts personnel of any special customer needs.
• Follow up on parts orders to ensure the parts department meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Act as a public relations liaison for BusWest.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards.
• Resolve customer complaints and provide conflict resolution.
• Visit customers to ensure and maintain excellent customer relations.
