About The Position

The Outside Parts Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with wholesale and commercial customers for our parts department. This role focuses on providing excellent service, consistent support, and GM product knowledge to independent repair shops, body shops, and fleet accounts, with the goal of growing parts sales and customer loyalty.

Requirements

  • Automotive parts experience preferred (GM experience a plus)
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Professional communication and follow-up
  • Time management and territory organization
  • Problem-solving and customer advocacy
  • Basic computer skills and dealership systems (DMS/EPC/PSX/Word/Excell)

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with wholesale and commercial customers
  • Regularly visit assigned accounts to provide service, support, and product updates
  • Support existing customers while identifying opportunities for account growth
  • Promote Chevrolet/GM OEM parts and accessories & our business as a whole
  • Resolve customer concerns, returns, and warranty issues professionally
  • Communicate customer needs to the parts department and management
  • Maintain contact logs, account notes, and sales activity records
  • Meet or exceed established sales and gross profit goals
