About The Position

The Outside Operations Manager for the Tube Park at Mammoth Mountain is responsible for overseeing daily outdoor operations, including managing lift operations, staffing, grooming, and equipment maintenance. This role focuses on creating memorable experiences for guests and employees while ensuring safety and operational efficiency. The manager will also be involved in expanding the outdoor activity program and enhancing the lodge experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ski/snow, adventure activities, or attractions industry.
• At least 2 years of experience managing line-level staff, including scheduling and performance management.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to identify dangers and follow strict safety protocols.
• Proven leadership experience in managing employees and fostering teamwork.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting and shoveling snow.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with snow removal equipment preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (training provided by MMSA).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily outdoor operations of the tubing park and mountain coaster.
• Manage lift operations, staffing levels, grooming, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure superior guest service and a positive work environment for staff.
• Assist in building the outdoor activity program and expanding summer activities.
• Maintain safety protocols and respond to emergencies as necessary.
• Schedule, hire, and manage performance of line-level staff.
• Resolve guest concerns and maintain a positive atmosphere.
