About The Position

The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture. Summary This role will work to clean units, repair and maintain the grounds and cover the office for payments. Works independently, and must be a self-starter. This job is Monday through Friday.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
6 months related experience, including proficiency in the operation of small power tools.
Must be able to follow safety practices and procedures applicable to tasks performed.
Willingness and ability to work at building heights.
Ability to communicate with the public.
General working knowledge of building construction, plumbing, electrical, and heavy-equipment operation helpful.
Knowledge of hand tools, to repair and clean storage units, maintain grounds, replace/repair security hardware, secure/replace/repair roofing panels, paint, replace lights, spray weeds, fix doors, mow, etc.

Responsibilities

Maintenance and repair of structures and grounds while practicing acceptable safety procedures.
Perform security checks; paint; repair customer's doors, locks, and lights; repair roofs; pick up trash; mow weeds; maintain gravel roads, and clean public restrooms.
Office operations in absence of office personnel in receiving/posting credit card and cash payments.
Operates office computer, printer, and phone.
Answer routine customer inquiries and concerns.
May open the office Monday through Friday.
Operation of equipment to clean the grounds, control weeds, and flatten/grade the parking areas and roads.
Maintain vehicles and equipment to ensure that they remain in a in a safe operational condition.
Supervise occasional contract labor as needed.
Security rounds, clean units/entire buildings.
Paint #s on units, signs on interior and exterior buildings.
Fix maintain roads with bobcat, Gehl, using road mix/gravel.
Clean roads with sweeper.
Fixes customers doors/lights in units both inside and outside.
Mows weeds and lawn.
Spray weeds.
Fixes roofs.
Covers office — takes payments and take messages.
Cleans buildings /breezeways/ windows.
Maintain clean public restrooms
Works with the public.
Measures RVs.
Picks up trash.
Keeps shop clean.
Maintains equipment.
Maintains lawn sprinkler system.
Burn irrigation ditches.
Address potential mishaps with irrigation water, fire, and customers.
