In the role of Outside Food Sales Representative, you will cultivate relationships, develop new business, and provide innovative solutions to our customers, helping them achieve their goals and, in return, yours! This position will be based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As an Outside Food Sales Representative, you will be responsible for the overall sales and relationship management efforts for existing and prospective customers within your assigned territory. This includes pursuing new customers, deepening and strengthening existing customer relationships, and managing your sales territory effectively. You will engage in various training offerings during your first 90 days, including e-learning, classroom sessions, video roleplays, job shadowing, and mentorship from peer sales representatives. This comprehensive training will prepare you to use Gordon Food Service systems, understand our product offerings, and develop effective sales strategies. Your role will involve researching industry and market trends impacting restaurants, identifying prospective customers, and developing sales strategies that highlight the products and services offered by Gordon Food Service. You will also be responsible for visiting customers regularly, conducting business reviews, providing ongoing training on our product offerings, and identifying opportunities to add value through our services. The goal is to balance new customer acquisition with deepening existing relationships, ensuring that you effectively manage your territory and meet your sales objectives.
