About The Position
Responsible for overseeing horses and people on the track during live races and training hours. Assist with the post parade for each live race. Assist with overseeing the horses and people on the track during live racing and training hours. Assist with the supervising of all licensed personnel that enter the racetrack and see that they follow the proper procedures. Report all rule violations to the Stewards.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be a skilled horse rider.
- Must be able to work with horsemen and give directions.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk, reach, lift, bend, and work outside in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
