Outreach Workers are part of a team that supports people who are living unhoused in Pierce County. They provide support to people experiencing homelessness who often have chronic mental illness and substance abuse issues. This is an outreach position with the expectation of working in the community a minimum of 50% of the time. Outreach workers must be able to meet clients where they are, which may include working in varying hazard/unsanitary conditions and being able to navigate a variety of terrain in all types of weather. This position requires driving to and from locations where clients are located and may include driving clients. Outreach Workers assist with the intake process in an efficient and friendly manner and provide other supportive services as assigned
