About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Sexual & Reproductive Health Services (SRHS), he Sexual Health Educator and Outreach Worker is responsible for providing sexual and reproductive health education and promoting and increasing awareness of all Health Imperatives by Establishing and building upon collaborative community partnerships internally and externally to link residents to SRHS and all Health Imperatives Services. Participating in and representing SRHS in relevant community meeting, events, community gatherings Developing evaluation plan to assess impact of outreach Providing SHRS-related education for community partners. Preparing and distributing educational and informational materials to community partner organizations. Facilitating community trainings, prevention initiatives, and awareness events as needed. Developing and managing social media content Accurately documenting and tracking meetings, interactions in database Submitting monthly reporting/tracking report Attend all required trainings and professional development activities. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated successful community collaborative outcomes
  • High level of cultural competency and experience working with diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated work in a collaborative, team environment.
  • Ability to maintain flexible schedule in accordance with program needs including some evenings and/or occasional weekends.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, registration.
