About The Position

Estrella Mountain Community College's (EMCC) Outreach and Early College office is looking for an Outreach Success Coach to provide support for the following programs: Dual Enrollment, Recruitment, AAEC, ACE (Achieving a College Education), and Hoop of Learning. This role will provide one-stop student college services access for students enrolled in Early Outreach Programs. Services include: assisting with admissions, placement testing, financial aid information, registration, community education, recruitment and retention activities, and referrals to related services. This position will also assist in developing and presenting workshops and events for students and recruiting students for the programs. Coaches contact students via phone and email, attend staff meetings, and present and update staff on completed assignments. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
  • Student must be attending Estrella Mountain Community College during the current semester (enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits in the Fall 2025 semester).
  • In order to qualify for a Federal Work-Study (FWS) job, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be on file for the current award year and have eligible financial needs based on the college requirements. Please contact the EMCC Financial Aid Office for more information prior to applying to a Federal Work-Study job.
  • FWS is a need-based, federally funded program.
  • FWS does not directly pay for tuition, and funds are only available to eligible students attending a minimum of six (6) degree applicable hours in a federal student aid eligible program.

Responsibilities

  • Assists new and continuing Early College Students in all student services functions including, admissions, testing, registration, financial aid information, recruitment and retention activities; corresponds/communicates with students to resolve problems related to student services functions (admissions, registration, payment)
  • Represents Estrella Mountain Community College during on and off campus workshops and recruitment events including, but not limited to: in person, online/virtual presentations, ACE & HOL workshops and information sessions to prospective, new and continuing students, parents, and school professionals; includes travel to local K-12 schools; assists with coordination, planning and facilitation of on and off campus events; Conducts one-on-one meetings with ACE and HOL Program participants weekly, individually, or in small/large groups; provides participants information regarding student support services and resources via phone calls or emails, assist with ACE Program application review and selection process.
  • Provide comprehensive support for all dual enrollment, ACE & HOL and AAEC program projects.
  • Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned
