About The Position
The position is for a Phlebotomist at Advocate Health, specifically within the Outreach department at WI ACL Laboratories. The role is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM, including every fourth weekend and rotating on-call duties for first and third shifts, as well as holidays. The primary responsibilities include verifying patient identification, performing venipuncture, collecting specimens from patients of all ages, and ensuring proper specimen handling and documentation. The position also involves instructing employees and students in phlebotomy and maintaining inventory and supplies. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of patient care appropriate to various age groups and adhere to established protocols.
