About The Position

The Outreach Manager at Ozone House is responsible for facilitating cross-organizational collaboration to enhance access to community support services for youth in crisis. This role involves overseeing the Drop-in Center operations, coordinating outreach efforts, and supporting staff in applying best practices in youth care. The Outreach Manager will work closely with the Education, Outreach and Welcoming Department Director to develop programs and ensure effective service delivery to at-risk youth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human service or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years' experience working with homeless, exploited, or other high-risk youth.
  • 2+ years' experience conducting outreach in school and/or community settings.
  • 1+ year experience providing supervision; 2+ years' experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively engage youth with diverse identities.
  • Knowledge of Positive Youth Development, Harm-Reduction, Housing First, and Trauma-Informed Care approaches.
  • Administrative competencies in communication, planning, program development, and resource management.
  • Skills in relationship building, facilitation, and coalition management.
  • Valid MI driver's license, current insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in crisis management and intervention.
  • Familiarity with the NASW Code of Ethics and State of Michigan's Mental Health Code.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate cross-organizational collaboration to increase access for youth in crisis to community support services.
  • Oversee the operation of the Drop-in Center and coordinate care for youth engaging in the Street Outreach Program.
  • Design and implement the monthly program and staffing calendar at the Drop-In Center.
  • Support staff at Ozone House and partner organizations through coaching and programmatic consultation.
  • Monitor and coordinate the staffing schedule for the Drop-in Center.
  • Provide programmatic support and strategic planning for outreach activities and programming.
  • Hire, train, and support Peer Outreach Workers and coordinate their outreach efforts.
  • Document all services and programs delivered in accordance with agency standards.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze program data and prepare written reports of findings.
