About The Position

National Louis University (NLU) is looking for a strategic, high-energy Outreach Development Specialist to drive partnership, enrollment, and revenue growth within the K-12 and Early Childhood sectors. This role is a unique blend of mission-driven advocacy and high-level business development. We need a professional who can navigate the complexities of a university ecosystem while maintaining the drive and efficiency of a seasoned sales professional.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years of related experience, including a proven background in sales or business development.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Mindset: Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets and KPIs.
  • Technical Proficiency: High-level MS Office skills (advanced PowerPoint for decks, Excel for data tracking, and Word for contract drafts) and experience with CRM systems (Salesforce).
  • Communication: Mastery of presentation delivery and the ability to influence executive-level decision-makers.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management abilities with the discipline to manage a remote or field-based portfolio independently.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership & Sales Growth Identify & Secure: Proactively scout and secure new partnership opportunities within assigned K-12 and Early Childhood verticals.
  • Negotiate & Close: Lead the delivery and negotiation of contractual agreements in coordination with the Asst. Director of Partnerships.
  • Results-Driven Execution: Take ownership of your territory’s growth, translating NLU’s overarching strategic plan into actionable, localized outreach that hits enrollment and revenue targets.
  • High-Stakes Presentation & Communication Dynamic Presentations: Design and conduct high-impact information sessions for diverse stakeholders—from one-on-one meetings with Center Directors to board-level presentations for school districts.
  • Persuasive Storytelling: Use your exceptional presentation skills to transform complex academic programs into compelling, value-driven narratives that inspire institutional commitment.
  • Internal Diplomacy: Build and strengthen connections with NLU’s internal academic partners to ensure our offerings remain aligned with market needs.
  • Operational Excellence & Time Management Strategic Time Management: Effectively prioritize your calendar between lead generation, client meetings, and internal collaboration to maximize territory impact.
  • Data Integrity: Meticulously manage and document day-to-day activities within NLU’s CRM (Salesforce) to create total transparency for the leadership team.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor landscapes to identify untapped opportunities.
