About The Position

The Outreach Coordinator (OC) plans and implements a comprehensive community outreach program. They are responsible for the referral development process, developing and maintaining accurate community education information, and maintains the referral database. They will work with service line directors to find and help fill needs with client openings and access.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Technical requirements include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and any other applications the organization or regulatory agencies use.
  • Ability to understand and relate to the needs of clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to read, write and converse in English.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Successful completion of a background screening.
  • Successful completion of a TB skin test or proof of a negative chest x-ray or other documentation.
  • Successful completion of Excellent Foundations.
  • Maintain 20 hours of annual training.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle, and feel.   • A minimum of two years of prior experience in a community education-related field is required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Promotions or related field from an accredited school preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Director of Community Impact and service line directors to create a referral development strategy plan for each service.
  • Develop & implement quarterly & annual referral goals and objectives as part of the marketing plan with input from the Director of Community Impact and the Leadership Team.
  • Serves as liaison between referral sources and RE by providing resources, information, and accurate answers to questions.
  • Works with the Director of Community Impact to develop and maintain a referral tracking database.
  • Works with the clinical team to set up regular lunch-n-learn events for clinicians to build referral sources.
  • Attends community partner meetings as an RE representative and seeks community networking opportunities.
  • Seeks opportunities to expand and promote RE services locally and throughout the state.
  • Assists in regularly maintaining the agency’s social media accounts by working with the Director of Community Impact for regular updates and content.
  • Seeks opportunities and coordinates with appropriate RE employees for speaking engagements.
  • Promotes a positive view of RE to the public and outside agencies to assist in the referral of clients.
  • Participates on Ad-hoc committees within or outside of the agency to further the mission/vision of RE.
  • Maintains high visibility and an approachable image to ensure positive employee relations.
  • Must believe in and act in accordance with the mission statement of RE and its programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
