The purpose of the Educational Specialist, Associate is to plan and implement effective recruitment strategies to identify and enroll eligible participants for the HEP program. This will be an 11-month appointment. This position is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship. This position is not eligible for a hybrid/remote work schedule. Department Overview: The Boise State University - High School Equivalency Program (HEP) is a federally funded program. HEP assists seasonal farmworkers and their immediate family members who are 16 years of age or older in obtaining a General Educational Development (GED) certificate or the state equivalent to a high school diploma and subsequently to gain employment in a career position or the military, or entry into postsecondary education. Level Scope: Entry-level professional with limited or no prior experience to contribute to a project or work team. Incumbent learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity under close supervision while achieving day-to-day objectives. Works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision-making. This level is typically focused on self-development. Requires theoretical knowledge through specific education and training.
