About The Position

It takes passion and dedication to meet the behavioral health needs of our community and specifically Centennial Peaks Hospital adult patients struggling with mental health concerns. Bring your expertise, compassion, and desire to help others and make a difference in the lives of others. The Outpatient Therapist facilitates quality, evidence-based treatment groups for adults with mental health and co-occurring disorders. The Group Therapist is responsible for maintaining accurate patient documentation in the medical record, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients, working in conjunction with members of an interdisciplinary team, communicating with family members, referral sources and community partners, and assisting patients’ with coordinating their discharge plans. Additional clinical tasks include patient risk assessment and safety planning/risk mitigation, as indicated, and the administration of clinical assessment tools to monitor patients’ progress in treatment. A Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Marriage & Family Therapy Required; Licensure Preferred.

Requirements

  • The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical.
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Marriage & Family Therapy. Required
  • Prior experience providing therapeutic interventions for the psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient or group setting.
  • Provisional licensure in respective field (e.g. SWC, LPCC, MFTC) required or applicant can demonstrate that the process to obtain this is underway.
  • Knowledge of group and individual therapy interventions and modalities, risk assessment and crisis/behavior management, mental health disorders and associated treatment, discharge planning and patient case management preferred or ability to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • LCSW, LPC, LMFT preferred.
