Position Summary: The Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model. This position supports a surgical environment with six operating rooms and a wide range of service lines, including Orthopedics (total joints, sports medicine, hand, foot/ankle, podiatry, spine), Vascular, Otolaryngology, and Urology. Perioperative RNs may work in: Pre‑Op and PACU, providing comprehensive pre‑ and post‑procedure care Operating Room (OR) as a circulating RN, with opportunities to scrub based on competency Extended PACU, supporting ongoing post‑operative monitoring and recovery The RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety, optimize surgical outcomes, and ensure an excellent patient and family experience.
