About The Position

The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patients involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization, The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement , the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care. The Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model. The Endoscopy Unit at Outpatient Care Dublin is a state‑of‑the‑art ambulatory procedural area within The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, dedicated to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered gastrointestinal (GI) care. The unit supports a full spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy, EGD, flexible sigmoidoscopy, ERCP support, and specialized interventions performed in collaboration with OSU’s expert gastroenterology providers. RNs in the Endoscopy Unit play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care across all phases of the procedural experience. Nurses provide pre‑procedure assessment and education, intra‑procedure support including moderate sedation administration and monitoring, and comprehensive post‑procedure recovery care. The environment is fast‑paced, team‑oriented, and highly collaborative, working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesia, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education Required: 2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
  • Current Ohio licensure or interim permit.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
  • Previous surgical center experience preferred.
