Requirements

  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certificate or obtain within 45 days of hire.
  • Graduate from an accredited college of pharmacy on or after May 1996.
  • Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Minnesota.
  • Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous working experience as a staff pharmacist in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate drug therapy and patient education, focusing on safe medication practices and efficacy.
  • Prepare, compound, and dispense medications.
  • Manage patient medication profiles to optimize treatment and reduce risks.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to advise on pharmacotherapy and adjust treatments based on patient needs and responses.
  • Adhere to legal requirements, train staff, and maintain inventory and records.
  • Provide direct patient consultation and medication management.
  • Engage in ongoing professional education to stay current with medical and pharmacological developments.
