BayCare is currently in search of our newest Outpatient Speech Therapist (Pool/PRN) who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Since 1953, South Florida Baptist Hospital has been a trusted and loved hospital for all our community's health and wellness needs. Our compassionate and caring team of experts, including nearly 800 team members and 250 physicians, work diligently to make sure that you receive high-quality care when you visit the hospital. Our new 204-bed replacement hospital that opened in the Spring of 2024 offers many more services than a standard community hospital, as we're part of the BayCare family of health care facilities. Outpatient Speech Therapist Responsibilities:

Requirements

  • CCC-SLP (Speech Language Pathology)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Speech Therapy License
  • Required Master's Speech Therapy
  • 1 year Clinical Related is preferred

  • Preferred Doctorate Speech Therapy

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
  • Provide speech therapy sessions in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with HIPAA and clinic standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other team members for coordinated patient care
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on therapy goals and strategies
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall development of the rehabilitation program
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology
