About The Position

The Outpatient/School Based Therapist will work with children and/or adults primarily out of our Beaver Falls Outpatient clinic with additional possible hours in our school based program in Lawrence County. Outpatient Counseling may include individual, family, and group therapy for a variety of mental health issues such as marital or family issues, parent-child relationship problems, separation and loss, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. School Based Counseling may include completing client intakes, developing measurable treatment goals in collaboration with clients and families, completing treatment reviews in accordance with outpatient regulations, and providing individual, group, and family therapy as clinically indicated.

Requirements

  • Has a graduate degree from an accredited college or university in a clinical discipline.
  • Has an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university evaluated by recognized agencies.
  • Is licensed in a generally recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience.
  • Must have audio/visual/verbal activity to provide supervision for clients.
  • Must have emotional stability to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with agency personnel and community agencies.
  • Ability to accept supervision and adjust hours to job requirements.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality of clients.
  • Eligible for PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse History clearance, and FBI clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) and credentialing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, group, and couples counseling to clients as defined in an individualized treatment plan.
  • Complete clinical file documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Maintain case documentation according to DHS requirements.
  • Consult with psychiatrist and other involved program areas or providers on a regular basis.
  • Attend regularly scheduled supervisory sessions with clinical supervisor and psychiatrist.
  • Complete intakes for assigned school-based clients in accordance with outpatient regulations.
  • Develop measurable treatment plan goals in collaboration with the assigned school-based client.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy as indicated in the treatment plan.
  • Enter clinical documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in a timely manner.
