About The Position
Inova Health is looking for a dedicated Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team. This role will be full-time, day shift Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. Nurses will be asked to float between clinics occasionally. Requirements
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience : 0 years of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.
- Top Secret Security Clearance (ISSA/TS/SCI) required. If Team Member does not hold Top Secret Security Clearance (ISSA/TS/SCI) at the time of hire, the Team Member must obtain it within one year of the hire date.
Nice To Haves
- 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse; experience in ED, ICU, Urgent Care, Occupational Health or Federal agencies desired.

Responsibilities
- Administering vaccines, health assessments, blood draws, routine care, urgent care, and medical assistance as necessary
- Formulates plans of care based on trends of similar patients including patient education and discharge planning.
- Identifies variances from expected outcomes.
- Evaluates patient outcomes and makes revisions to plans of care.
- Collaborates with patients/families to identify realistic desired outcomes.
- Adapts standards and guidelines for individual patients.
- Tailors and prioritizes caring practice to individual needs including cultural, ethical and spiritual needs.
- Participates in the planning of routine transitional healthcare needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options, end of life options).
- Responds to changes in patients' needs and provides holistic caring.
- Documents all patient care activities as per documentation standards.
- Assists the healthcare team with the documentation process.
