About The Position

RD Nutrition Consultants, LLC is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join our team in an outpatient setting. This is a full-time, contract-to-direct hire opportunity with schedule flexibility and hybrid work options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program
  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Current, active state licensure required
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of recent clinical experience (outpatient experience preferred)
  • Experience managing patients with diverse medical conditions
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and time-management abilities
  • Familiarity with outpatient workflows, EHR systems, and regulatory standards
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients identified at nutritional risk, in accordance with facility policies and procedures
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized, evidence-based nutrition care plans for patients with a variety of medical conditions
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families, including disease management, lifestyle modification, and prevention strategies
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with all facility policies, regulatory standards, and best practice guidelines relevant to outpatient care
  • Maintain thorough, timely electronic medical record (EHR) documentation reflecting medical necessity and intervention effectiveness
  • Monitor patient progress, labs, weight changes, and clinical indicators, adjusting nutrition interventions as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support overall program effectiveness
  • Serve as a nutrition resource for staff and contribute to education as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned and within scope of practice
