About The Position

RD Nutrition Consultants, LLC is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join our team in an outpatient setting. This is a full-time, contract-to-direct hire opportunity with schedule flexibility and hybrid work options.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program
Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Current, active state licensure required
Minimum of 1–3 years of recent clinical experience (outpatient experience preferred)
Experience managing patients with diverse medical conditions
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and time-management abilities
Familiarity with outpatient workflows, EHR systems, and regulatory standards
Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients identified at nutritional risk, in accordance with facility policies and procedures
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized, evidence-based nutrition care plans for patients with a variety of medical conditions
Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families, including disease management, lifestyle modification, and prevention strategies
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
Ensure compliance with all facility policies, regulatory standards, and best practice guidelines relevant to outpatient care
Maintain thorough, timely electronic medical record (EHR) documentation reflecting medical necessity and intervention effectiveness
Monitor patient progress, labs, weight changes, and clinical indicators, adjusting nutrition interventions as needed
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support overall program effectiveness
Serve as a nutrition resource for staff and contribute to education as appropriate
Perform other duties as assigned and within scope of practice
