About The Position

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a part-time Outpatient Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to support a healthcare partner in Alaska. This role is 100% remote but serves an Alaska-based outpatient population, making it ideal for candidates located in or near the Pacific Time Zone (PST) to align with scheduling needs. You’ll provide virtual outpatient nutrition counseling for chronic disease management while working alongside a collaborative team of three other dietitians. Guaranteed hours and steady patient flow ensure reliable weekly income. Role Overview Setting: Outpatient (virtual telehealth) Hours: Minimum 20 hours/week, up to 24 hours/week — guaranteed Compensation: $30.00–$38.00 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: Flexible within Alaska/Pacific time alignment Licensure: State licensure reimbursement (AK) provided Credentialing: Liability insurance required for insurance credentialing (approx. 8-week process)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field from an accredited program.
  • Active Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credential (RD/RDN).
  • Ability to obtain Alaska state licensure (fees reimbursed).
  • Liability insurance required for credentialing.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior outpatient or clinical experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for outpatient conditions such as: Diabetes Hypertension Coronary artery disease (CAD) Obesity and general weight management
  • Conduct virtual consultations to assess nutrition needs and create individualized care plans.
  • Support clients in lifestyle change, disease management, and sustainable behavior modification.
  • Maintain organized and accurate documentation within the EHR system.
  • Collaborate with the outpatient team and other clinical staff as needed.
  • Participate in non-patient administrative time (included in scheduled hours).
