Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of the patient's condition.
• Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Documents subjective, objective, and assessment findings and plans patient progress.
• Educates and counsels the patient and family/caregiver.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
• Provides information regarding the appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervises and delegates the care provided by physical therapy assistants according to established licensing laws, state regulations, and practice standards.
• Per diem opportunity with strong potential for consistent weekly hours at a single location, as well as vacation coverage opportunities.
