About The Position

Join our NOVACARE Glen Burnie, Maryland, outpatient orthopedic center and be part of a large, respected clinical team delivering exceptional care to patients of all ages and abilities. We focus primarily on orthopedics with neuro, vestibular, concussion, sports medicine, and pelvic health specialists open to licensed physical therapist assistants of all experience levels. New graduate PTAs will enter an on-site mentorship program and continue to grow in additional specialties. We pay for your education and incentivize your learning with our clinical advancement program (CAP). This is a licensed clinical position requiring a Maryland PTA license to start. Your schedule will include two evenings treating until 730PM with your last patient scheduled an hour prior. We have reasonable expectations to ensure personalized treatments that restore function and help patients get back to the activities they love. Requirements

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
